Therapeutic Support Services, Inc. is a non-profit agency dedicated to training therapeutic foster parents, motivate partnership agencies, and support the community as a whole in order to positively impact productive change in the lives of families and children.

Vision-To present a comprehensive program of excellence that provides therapeutic foster parents with the knowledge and intervention skills needed to serve any child any age.

Mission- The mission of Support Incorporated is to be a cooperating partner in implementing services that are based on individual needs. As a service provider, we fully understand that we are one member of a larger team that works to ensure the goals of the consumer are met.

BENEFITS TO CONTRACTING W/ Support, Incorporated

Ø   Therapeutic Foster Parents receive all state required and service specific trainings along with extra hours of trainings about populations served.

Ø   Therapeutic Foster Parents receive training and supervision tailored to the needs of the consumer(s) being placed in their care.

Ø   Therapeutic Foster Parents have access to license professions that have the knowledge, skills and abilities serving children and adolescents.

Ø   Therapeutic Foster Care is a great wrap around service and can be  an appropriate step-down for consumers placed in more restrictive settings.

Ø   Support, Incorporated is focused on treatment; recovery; permanency; individual needs and reunification with family and other natural supports when identified as part of the person-centered plan.

CRITERIA TO BE FOSTER PARENTS

Each potential foster family under goes an extensive review before being selected to receive licensure.

First and most important criteria that must be met are clean criminal background checks, clean health care registry checks and clean driving records.

Second the potential parents must successfully complete the application/interview process and be willing to be a respite provider as well as a therapeutic foster parent. 

Third the potential parents must be willing to participate fully in ongoing trainings, meetings concerning the clients, and supervision.

Fourth the potential parents must meet all physical plant requirements and be willing to submit to monthly home visits. 

Fifth and finally the potential parents must demonstrate understanding of the Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting skills and treatment needs of the consumers placed in their care.
